Last week I became puzzled, when I watched a video about the religious agenda of the United Nations. I thought that the United Nations, the international organization we all know, is exclusively a political operator.
In beginning the video introduced Robert Muller (1923-2010), a man who worked for the UN for 40 years as vice secretary general. His conviction was that the UN should establish as soon as possible a one world government, and one world religion under one world leader.
In his mind, peace will be impossible without the taming of fundamentalism through a united religions that professes faithfulness only to the global spirituality and to the health of this planet and its sustainable development. As a consequence, the UN started to represent more and more worlds spirituality and religions, especially the New Age-movement.
Robert Muller’s great personal dream was “to get a tremendous alliance between all the major religions and the UN.” To achieve his dream Mr. Muller created global framework for educating world citizens for a new world based on teachings of Alice Bailey. In his international schools (40 founded around the world and more established every year) education is based on a world core curriculum for global education, framework of our global knowledge. This includes: framework for world media coverage, framework for planetary and cosmic consciousness and a framework for arts and culture. 1989 Robert Muller was granted the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education for influencing the mindset of the world.
This all sounds nice. Who would not want world peace: a world free of fundamentalist thoughts, where people are only committed for advancing global spirituality and wellbeing of our planet. However, this spiritual doctrine of the United Nations is in conflict with its own declarations, because UN emphasizes, that people have the right to choose themselves their convictions and create their own identity and shape it. Thus forbidding every kind of external brainwash and mind manipulation.
International schools founded by Robert Muller are based on teachings of Alice Ann Bailey (1880-1949). Bailey had come to conclusion that Christ is working in every religion and one does not have to belong to the Christian church to be able to know Christ.
In the video that I saw, thoughts about equality of religions were turned down as heresy and as proof of devil (Lucifer) worship by Alice Bailey. I wrote in an article “Roots of Capitalism” in March 2013, that “Christianity is Christ consciousness, which is the natural state of human mind – universal consciousness – which sees itself and everything else as a part of creation.”
Alice Baileys vision for United Nations included global “Spirit of Faith” which differs from traditional religious beliefs and the idea of the Age of Aquarius, the New Age. The Age of Aquarius is said to be an era in human history, when individual and global changes develop and which leads to balanced holistic interaction between body, mind and spirit. The individual freedom to develop on own conditions and search for truth first of all within oneself is emphasized.
Lucifer – Master of the Ego
Alice Bailey saw that the Universe is composed of seven rays (e.g. seven chakras, colours of rainbow reflected through prism), which are the creative energies of the cosmos and which make up visible and invisible worlds.
Alice Bailey tells us that her writings are a product of automatic writing, when she made notes of thoughts channeled through her by an oriental guru (Tibetan Djwal Khul). Her writings are also influenced by the thoughts of Helena Blavatsky, a co-founder of the Theosophical Society.
In her two-volume book The Secret Doctrine Blavatsky states that “Lucifer represents life, thought, progress, civilization, freedom and independence”. In her mind Lucifer, Satan is the true and only god of our planet.
Some Christians consider these thoughts as horrific. But it is useless to deny this fact, because one must only look around and see, how Lucifer controls our world. It does not make a person heretic or possessed by evil spirits, when one says this fact loudly.
One meaning of the name Lucifer is Light bearer, Morning Star. A few years ago I was quite shocked when I found this out.
I have dedicated these web-pages to all light bearers and certainly did not think about Lucifer while forming that idea. In the New Testament ‘Morning Star’, Light bearer refers to Jesus Christ (II Peter 1:19 and in Revelations 22:16). The Spirit of God is in heart of every person. We are all bearers of the light.
I have a principle that I do not edit my thoughts on the level of ego consciousness, after they naturally rise in my mind. Therefore I left the thought in its original form. I thought that the concept of Lucifer and light bearer are so unclear to me and certainly also to other people, that one must use a coarse sieve to filter these thoughts.
I believe that the Holy Ghost does not mislead me, if I listen to my heart sincerely. For this the Bible says:
What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (Matthew 7:9-11)
Unlike Blavatsky Alice Bailey never wrote directly that she regarded Lucifer as god. She wrote: “I dedicate myself anew to the service of the coming one (Christ) and will do all I can to prepare men’s minds and hearts for that event (second coming?) I have no other life intention” She clarifies this by writing: “The Tibetan has asked me to make clear that when he is speaking of the Christ he is referring to his official name as head of the hierarchy.”
I am sure that Alice Bailey was sincere when she sanctified her life to serve Christ. But none of us are without weaknesses. Question arises, why did Alice Bailey seek for external authority? Why did she think, that her words would weight more (in certain circles), if she would present them as thoughts of a Tibetan guru, rather than as thoughts inspired by the Holy Ghost in her heart? We cannot know Baileys ultimate reasons for this choice, but I think that this was caused by her ego.
Lucifer is the Master of this world. He is the ego of human beings, their animal spirit. He is the one that contains all sensual and mental, which is studied by psychology (the science of the soul). Jesus Christ gave us a two-edged sword, the Spirit of Truth that cuts apart soul and spirit, ego (animal spirit) and the Holy Ghost (common sense).
Christian Theology Edited by the Ego
I have wondered why Christian theologians emphasize the importance of Bible study as source of godly wisdom. We know well that there is not a single human being living today, who knows, what is authentic in the Bible, and which parts have been edited by the ruling elite to strengthen their own power and advance their agenda.
I think that godly wisdom is not in the written words, but in the meanings we see between the lines.
Why is the main message of Christianity, that people need our Saviour Jesus Christ as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, although in the end of the Old Testament God announces, that he will make a new covenant with humanity, and will remember our sins no more?
In revelation of Jeremiah God says that he will write his law to the hearts of people. God reveals that then no-one needs to teach others to know the Lord, because everyone, from smallest to greatest, will know Him. This announcement is unconditional. God announces that all will know Him.
In my opinion, the primary reason people need Jesus Christ, is that in Him is the Truth. Many people say that there is no absolute truth, no absolute good nor bad. What is considered as good in some society, it is good for them. If something is considered as evil, it is evil for them. In some other society good and evil are determined differently.
It is hard to imagine any kind of real co-operation between nationalities based on this kind of attitude. There is one absolute truth that cannot be denied unless you deny your own existence: each person has been born to this world to be free individual. If someone tries to imprison or enslave us, each person with healthy self-esteem has natural reaction to pursue freedom and to reclaim self governance.
Every conflict people are facing results from this fact. If we want to live in happiness and prosperity, we must treat other people like we hope them to treat us. This is common sense, if we are true to ourselves.
Christ Consciousness
In ancient Egypt thoughts were considered to be the sixth sense. We also speak about sixth sense when someone has e.g. telepathic experience or intuitive sensation about something. I have pondered, could the concept of ‘common sense’ in English language be a remainder of this thought.
Nowadays the idiom ‘common sense’ has meanings like intuitive, awakened mind, good judgement etc. Common means general, ordinary and this meaning is dominant in the idiom ‘common sense’. The word ‘common’ means also ‘shared’. What if the concept of common sense refers to a shared sense, collective consciousness?
After all it is insignificant, whether Alice Bailey says that her writings are inspired by an Oriental guru, Holy Ghost, Lucifer, Shiva, Buddha or archangel Michael. It does not affect the meaning and truth of her words in any way. The most important is the content of her teachings.
Teachings of Alice Bailey in a Nutshell
I have not delved deeper in the teachings of Alice Bailey, but the Finnish association for Alice Bailey has compiled an easy-to-read list of her teachings:
- Love of the truth – essential for a righteous, tolerant and progressive society.
- Justice – recognition of every persons rights and needs.
- Spirit of co-operation – based on active goodwill and the principle of true relations between people.
- Feeling of personal responsibility – towards group, society and national issues
- Service of common good – by sacrificing selfishness (ego). Only what is good for all, is good for individual.
I believe that all people want others to treat themselves by these principles. The question is, do we treat others according to the same principles.
Summa Summarum
My opinion is that the world does not need a single religion or doctrine, which is lead in the level of ego consciousness. The existing religions should rather get rid of their rituals and religious pathos, and focus on the most essential thing: Christ consciousness.
People must acknowledge that Christ consciousness is the natural mindset of humans, that can only be guided by the intuitive heart, the Spirit of God on individual level. The Kingdom of God is within us, we just need to make a conscious decision and open the gates. We must learn to know our true selves to be able to fulfill our true selves.
The Holy Ghost works in each individual according to same principles. When a person finds a connection to his/her true self, his/her spirit, common sense, works in constructive way in co-operation with others.
We should respect the potential of each individual. Not seek signs of evil influence in other people and accuse them, because it often means that we accuse them for something, they do not know or understand. When Jesus was crucified he said:
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
We do not battle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual entities in heavenly spheres. In other words: there is no conflict between people, but between their arguments. The Spiritual battle is fought by God Himself.
People living on the level of ego consciousness are unable to distinguish, what influence comes from “evil spirits” and what is influence of God’s Spirit. Even the Holy Ghost does not clarify that, so it is pointless to argue these things or start to split hairs. That is endless road.
The most important thing is, how each of us acts in practice. We know people from fruits of their labour. Do they co-operate in good will or are they tearing down what others are trying to build?
The Holy Ghost does not tell us, what is the influence of God or what comes from Lucifer. He only proves to us that we are children of God. We should respect ourselves and others, and help each other to become the best possible versions of ourselves. We can advance without worry in our own efforts, because we can have faith that the Spirit of God is battling against spiritual entities of evil.
It is sure that Satan, Lucifer and all the rest, use all means to deceive people, to undermine their good intentions and turn people against each other. Lucifer turns angels to demons and demons to angels. But we can be sure, that in the end, in everything God works for the good of those who love Him and the Spirit of Truth.
The destiny of humanity and nations is based upon the values that govern their decisions.
